.msi characters lean less toward demonic characteristics and more toward evil spirit characteristics. The levels are more longer and seem to wither as you make progress. Bones and paranormal occurrences happen throughout the level, such as horrifying messages carved into the background after a half-second electronic glitch like, "Run", "Something's coming" or "Help me!"

msi. characters come from a higher plane of supernatural existence and are far more powerful that their .exe counterparts. There are able to appear in any spot instantly.

At the end of one such game, the character would stand there staring into your soul with words written above them saying, "I Am Death", and have more of a skeletal appearence. Indications that your near an .msi entity are sudden, extreme drops in temperature, surrounding area losing it's color, darkness flooding lighted areas, interference and humming coming from electronics and very soft, low-pitched moaning coming from indiscernible spots. If you should experience any of these, it is advised that you leave the area immediately.
